ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Even though Tropical Storm Colin did not cause serious problems in south Georgia, rain from the storm did lead to more work for tree services.

Monday's heavy rain knocked down some limbs and trees, including a few on houses.

With hurricane season right around the corner, Harper Tree Service is warning people to check their yard for trees with dead spots or trees that are leaning near the house.

"You always want to get the leaning trees away from the house. Any tree limbs that are going over the house. Anything that has cancer spots on them or disease, any dead spots on trees because they are weak on the inside anyways," said Lee Harper with Harper Tree Services.

Harper said he had more than a half dozen calls this morning to remove trees from houses.
