Those driving through downtown Thomasville throughout the week may notice some construction going on.
The city will be doing utility work at the intersection of Jackson and Stevens Street this week.
Most of the work will be done at night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Only local traffic will be allowed past the road closure signs.
Those who need to get through the area should use Oak and Washington Street as a detour.
