CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

Authorities have found a second gun they believe is tied to an armed robbery at a Waffle House. A second handgun was found on top of a nearby building yesterday after interviews with one of the suspects.

J'Haire Clay and Joctavious Newsome are charged with armed robbery right now. Megan Respress is charged with driving without a license, giving false information, and party to a crime. Officials believe she was their getaway driver.

Law enforcers say the massive response by multiple agencies was vital in the investigation.

“They saw Georgia state patrol cars. They saw deputy cars. They saw police cars. So it kept them in the woods, prevented them from getting to that getaway car and leaving before a deputy could see them and stop the getaway car,” said Crisp County Sheriff Billy Hancock.

Officials found the first handgun they believe was used in the robbery when Newsome was arrested. They say he could face more charges as the investigation continues.
