ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Police are investigating a theft and arson attempt at a dance studio.

Someone burned the base of a column and one of the front windows at Pritchett Pippin on Baldwin Drive, apparently trying to start a larger fire.

Owner Kathy Hawkins noticed the bulbs and parts of the lights from the front porch were missing Monday night. She said that about two months ago someone tried to set a fire near her back door, but she did not report it.

The investigation is still ongoing. Anyone with information is urged to call police.
