UPDATE: Arrests made in Cordele Waffle House robbery

CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

Officials have arrested three people in connection with a robbery at Waffle House in Cordele May 29.

J’Haire Me’leke Clay, 21, and Joctavious Newsome, 20, have been charged with armed robbery. 

Megan Respress, 23, was charged with driving with no driver’s license, giving false information to officers and party to a crime.

According to officials, Repress was driving in the area without headlights and when stopped, gave officers a false identity.

At the time of Newsome's arrest, a small caliber handgun was recovered that officials believe was used in the robbery.

Officials said Newsome could face more charges.

The investigation is ongoing.
