CORDELE, GA (WALB) - Jobseekers in Cordele will soon have a new place to get some help finding work.
The Labor Department office there closed a year ago.
The closest one is currently in Americus, but the state reached a deal with the Family Connection Center to reopen the center in the Dowdy building.
District 148 Representative Buddy Harden worked with the Labor Department to make it happen.
"Knowing our population that needs those services, and we felt like they had to have something close by and readily available and had to have the staff to help them navigate the system basically," said Harden.
Leaders are still finalizing the days and hours of operation and when the center will open.
