MOULTRIE, GA (WALB) - The city of Moultrie expects a nearly $4 million economic impact from a national diving competition coming to the town.
The Moss Farms Diving Center will host the AT&T National Diving Championships in August.
Around 700 divers from all 50 states will be competing.
Moss Farms Diving was founded by Colquitt County farmer Moose Moss in the 1960s.
"His vision really was to bring diving to this community in Moultrie. I think that he would be excited that we're hosting this event and 2016 and kind of continuing his legacy," said Moss Farms Diving Assistant Coach John Fox.
The competition will be held the first two weeks of August at the Moss Farms Diving Center.
