PEARSON, GA (WALB) - Atkinson Co. Sheriff David Moore has confirmed that Clarence Gaskins was found guilty Thursday, of the 2010 murder of his estranged wife, Rosie Courdle Gaskins.
Gaskins has been sentenced to life plus ten years, says Berrien D.A. Dick Perryman. "I'm so pleased we were able to give the Courdle family some closure and justice, in this horrible, cold and calculated murder of Rosie," he said.
He was found guilty of Malice Murder, Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault (Family Violence), Possession of Firearm during Commission of a Felony and Possession of Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
Gaskins was arrested in 2014.
Rosie Gaskins' body was found in a car in Willacoochee, and the case went unsolved for four years.
