ALBANY, GA (WALB) - Flint River Habitat for Humanity is looking for veterans who need housing.

They're looking to build a new home for a veteran in Lee County and also repair a home for a veteran.
Veterans must have the ability to make a monthly mortgage payment and partner with Habitat for Humanity.

"We have a large veteran population period that is unhoused or under housed, not appropriately housed or homeless and so serving those of course who have served especially with Memorial Day on Monday is really important to give back to those who have given to us," said Lauren Welch, Mortgages & Family Services Manager.
