ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The city of Albany is recognized for a project that helped a major industry.
The Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia named a one-mile gas line expansion to the Miller Coors plant one of six projects of the year.
Authority leaders say it enhanced Miller Coors' operations in Albany.
"We see a lot of industry really wanting to use natural gas in their operations and so certainly the low cost of natural gas that the city of Albany can provide to the facility will definitely enhance their operation so that's one reason they wanted gas service," said Rodney Dill, Director for Member Services for the Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia.
Albany is one of 79 members in the Municipal Gas Authority of Georgia.
