ADEL, GA (WALB) - One person was arrested in a meth manufacturing investigation in Adel on Monday.
According to the Sheriff's Office, 42-year-old Richard Palmer was arrested after an investigation that started because of a tip from a concerned citizen.
The Sheriff's Office was told that a resident in the 300 block of James Street was "cooking" meth and selling out of the home.
After getting a search warrant for the house, officials discovered meth as well as chemical and waste materials from manufacturing methamphetamine.
Palmer is charged with manufacturing meth and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Because of the hazards of manufacturing meth, and how close the house was to the Cook Medical Center (less than 250 feet), officials said they felt the need to "move very rapidly."
