ALBANY, GA (WALB) - A Central Albany business owner has closed his shop temporarily, after the fifth theft in the last year.
On Wednesday, Anthony McRoy found four tires and rims missing off one of his customer's cars inside his locked fence.
McRoy, known as Slim, owns and runs Total Auto Care in the 100 block of South Harding Street.
He's been there for the last four years.
McRoy temporarily closed his business to improve security to stop the thieves.
"Well, we have to be diligent," said McRoy. "We got to get the police force involved. Pick up patrols in the area. If you have patrols in the area, you'll finally catch somebody that is not supposed to be in the area at certain hours of the night."
McRoy said that it will cost about $600 to replace the stolen tires and rims.
He plans to install security cameras and more lights before he opens the business back up.
