QUITMAN, GA (WALB) - Schools are on a lock down status this morning Brooks County High School, after a bomb threat was called in at 8:25.
All school students and staff are in the middle school gym, until the high school is cleared.
They have Moody Air Force Base's bomb squad, Valdosta Police and Lowndes Co. Sheriff K-9 units sweeping the school.
They expect it take about two hours to go through the school.
They are launching a full scale investigation to find out who made the threat.
Sharah Denton, community relations spokesman, says this happened around the same time last year.
