ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Less than a week before election day, a state house candidate continues his fight to keep his name on the ballot.

The attorney for James Williams submitted briefs to an Administrative Law Judge this week.

He qualified as the only Democrat to run in District 151, but he claims the Secretary of State's office changed his voter registration to District 154 without notifying him.

The state said that a redistricting error by Dougherty County officials placed Williams in the wrong district for years.

It wasn't discovered until Republican Representative Gerald Greene filed a challenge.
