Police: Woman arrested for trying to stab, run over ex-boyfriend

DOUGHERTY CO., GA (WALB) -

A Dougherty county woman was charged with trying to run down her boyfriend with her car.

22-year-old Shannon Vinson was charged with aggravated assault and family violence early Wednesday morning.

Investigators said 20-year-old Juwan Dixon said that when he tried to separate from Vinson, she slapped him, tried to stab him with a fork and then tried to run him over with her car.

Vinson has been released from the Dougherty County Jail on a $5,000 bond.

    Fire Fighters at Fire Station 2 reported that a man approached the fire station bleeding from a chest wound.  They provided first aid and called for EMS.
