ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Authorities are investigating a body that was found in the Parking lot at Homerun Foods on West Oglethorpe.

According to officials, a customer noticed that the person had been sitting in his vehicle for 35 to 40 minutes and called 911.

Albany Police responded and contacted Coroner Michael Fowler.

Fowler pronounced the man dead at 7:57 Monday evening.

Fowler does not believe there was foul play and that the man died of natural causes, but police are investigating.

"So you have to find out the background of what happened before he got in the car. Was he having any complaints or concerns so those are the things now I gotta go to the hospital and try to figure these things out," said Fowler.

The man's identity has not yet been released.
