ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Tift Park was jamming with the tunes for most of Saturday afternoon.

Albany locals and WALB's very own Karla Heath-Sands came out to celebrate Willie Moody Day.

Attendees could enjoy various food and merchandise vendors along with live music including Willie Moody.

Moody said it's all about the community.

"It's for me but actually it's for the community. I'm just so happy because I love Albany. It's truly the good life city. I've been here all my life. Raised, born, reared, everything. I'm just celebrating with my people in the community and I'm so grateful for it,” said Moody.

The idea started as a joke for the Willie Moody day but it appears to have been successful.
