CAMILLA, GA (WALB) - Kids running in the "Gnat Dash" kicked off the 49th annual "Gnat Days" in Downtown Camilla Friday night.
Nearly 150 runners laced up their shoes for the dash and 5K run.
More than 80 vendors will be at the event on Saturday with food, arts and crafts, and games.
The Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce says the event gives the economy a boost.
"Then of course you know they take advantage of our city," said Jennifer Burnum, Camilla Chamber of Commerce Executive Director. "The things our city has available which is great for the city. We have local restaurants set up here which is great for our economy and then tomorrow it's something for the town to do, neighboring towns to do. It's just about community and having a good time together."
The festival runs from 8 to 4 on Saturday.
