Police investigate wreck with injuries

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Dougherty County Police responded to a wreck on the intersection of Nelms Road and Liberty Expressway. Officials arrived on the scene at about 6:41 p.m.

According to officials, a white pickup truck driven by an adult white male was exiting out of the Dollar General parking lot. There were three juveniles in his vehicle.

A gray pickup truck, driven by a black male was traveling south on Liberty Expressway at the time. There was one other passenger in the vehicle.

The driver of the white truck did not see the gray truck traveling down Liberty Expressway, and was hit on the rear driver's side.

The juveniles in the white truck had complaints of injuries, but did not need to be transported to the hospital. Both occupants in the gray truck were transported to Phoebe for their injuries.

The driver of the white truck was charged with Failure to Yield After Stopping at a Stop Sign.
