TIFT CO., GA (WALB) - Authorities say a semi truck has collided with a train in Tift County Friday afternoon.
It happened at the intersection of Hwy 41 and Lee Ball Road. The Tift County Sheriff's Office said they were assisting with traffic control at the scene.
Georgia State Patrol said the driver of the semi became stuck on the tracks while trying to make a turn.
The driver was unable to move the truck in time before the train arrived, but he was able to get to safety before the train hit.
Drivers were urged to avoid the immediate area.
Authorities said they expected all lanes to be open by 6:30 p.m. Friday.
No injuries were reported.
