A West Town Elementary fifth grader hopes a kind act she performed inspires others to be selfless.
Olivia Walker was one of 22 students who received a bike from the school for achieving gold status on their academic achievement goals. But instead of keeping that bike for herself, she gave it to a friend-- who didn't have a bike.
Walker says it was an easy decision. "She been with me for a while before the beginning of this year, and I just wanted to do something nice, and I gave her my bike."
"I hugged her and told her that I loved her, and she's the bestest friend I ever had," said Jamiya Banks.
"It's so touching. It's better than any paycheck that we could ever receive. That's why we do what we do," said Principal Steven Dudley. Dudley says because the bikes were such a big hit, they'll give away more next year.
