ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Some downtown businesses will get help sprucing up their signs.

ADICA is partnering with the Albany Planning Department on a Facade Program to provide commercial storefronts with new signage.

Officials will work with businesses in the central business district to find the best signage for them.

"We want downtown to have a specific look. There is certain signage like the mast arm signs or the sign boards or certain window signage that is preferred in historic downtown. It keeps that character of the downtown," said Senior Planner Rozanne Braswell.

They've identified 24-businesses they plan to work with to install new signage to reflect their business.
