BAINBRIDGE, GA (WALB) - A man arrested in connection to the death of a woman found inside a running car is also a person of interest in another murder.
22-year-old Quentieria Knight was found inside a running car on Zorn Road in Bainbridge, shot multiple times last month.
After a multi-agency investigation, authorities arrested DeMarquis Glenn and are charging him with murder.
Later officials discovered evidence connecting Glenn to the murder of Marcus Tujuan Bell in Bainbridge. Bell was found shot to death in September of last year inside an apartment in the 300 block of South West Street.
"We have asked law enforcements specifically as stated before to send off some forensic evidence that we hope will tie the 2 cases together," said South Georgia District Attorney Joe Mulholland.
"The most important thing for this is closure for the victims' families. Law enforcement's job is to, ya know, is to speak for the victim," explained Jamy Steinberg of the GBI.
Glen has a bond hearing scheduled for May 17th and authorities are still compiling information on both cases.
Anyone who has information on either shooting is asked to contact the GBI, Decatur County Sheriff's Office or Bainbridge Public Safety.
