Man wanted for cutting ankle monitor caught by cops

(Dougherty Co. Sheriff) (Dougherty Co. Sheriff)
ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Quincy Stephens was picked up Monday morning at 9:41 a.m. at 610 Johnson Road, without incident.

Officers had been looking for him since April 24th, when they were checking on his court-ordered ankle monitor, and found it, but not him.

He got into trouble with the law in February of 2015, when he ran from drug agents, following a traffic stop at the Mall.

He had 3.5 ounces of marijuana, worth $2000 in his pockets. They found him hiding in a dumpster.

APD is also expected to charge a woman with harboring Stephens today.
