State troopers said a 16-year-old girl will be charged after she pulled in front of a Coffee County school bus Friday. The girl was driving a Toyota truck on Van Davis Road when troopers said she pulled in front of the bus.

The bus hit the left side of the truck and knocked one of the passengers out of the truck. The three people in the truck, 11 students on the bus, and the bus driver did not receive life threatening injuries.

The driver of the truck is charged with failure to yield. The names of the people involved were not immediately available.

Ahead of heavy rain showers and winds projected for our area, the Georgia State Patrol said there's not as many travelers on the roads during this holiday weekend.  "So far I think this attributed to the weather and gas prices being so high, it seems that in our area of the state, traffic has been down some," said Trooper Christopher Jewell, GSP Post 40.
