The Albany Elite tiger paws are getting right back to work following an excellent showing at a national event.
The cheer team is fresh off two first place trophies in the U.S. finals in Florida.
Now they are holding cheer camps for area girls to learn or improve on the fundamentals.
This morning was their first one-day camp of the month.
The current tiger paws assisted girls ranging from age 2-17 in an attempt to take their cheerleading to the next level.
Head coach O'tessa Robinson says the camp is the perfect gateway for girls who are interested in joining the team.
"In order to tryout you have to have a cheer, a dance and your jumps," she said. "So in this clinic, we teach them a cheer, we teach them a dance and we teach them a jump. So if they came to this clinic they'll kind of have the advantage of already knowing what we're looking for."
Tryouts for the lady paws is May 12th. They are also hosting five more camps within the next two months.
