BLAKELY, GA (WALB) - Federal money is on the way to south Georgia to provide health care to more patients.

Primary Health Care of Southwest Georgia in Blakely is getting a $1 million from the Department of Health and Human Services.

Six $1 million grants announced on Wednesday for Georgia will help clinics expand, allowing them to serve nearly 12,000 more patients.

Southwest Georgia Health Care in Richland is also getting one of the awards.
