ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany teenager is indicted for shooting a man during a birthday party.
18 year old Frankie Newberry, also known as Frank Loc, was indicted by the Dougherty Grand Jury Wednesday on 7 counts, including aggravated assault and guns charges.
Prosecutors say December 5th at a party on Corn Avenue Newberry shot 33 year old Jamaal Clyde three times. In the jaw, elbow, and hand, because Clyde broke up a fight.

Dougherty District Attorney Greg Edwards said "Intervene in an altercation between two persons. Two women at a birthday party.  And from that point the defendant allegedly engaged the victim."

Newberry was on the run from police for more than a month, and Clyde's mother handed out flyers with his picture on them, trying to get community help to capture him.

Newberry was arrested January 7th.
