Three men were caught on camera robbing a Moultrie convenience store at gunpoint, as customers watch in shock. Police need your help identifying the crooks.
This isn't the first time Susie Q's on Veterans Parkway south has been robbed. Devin Howard was working at Susie Q's last year when three armed men robbed him. He says he's not scared, but he is frustrated, and ready if it happens again.
"I looked up, hit the panic button, and I was like, 'Oh crap, not again,'" he said.
The scene is becoming more common in Moultrie. Crooks, armed with handguns, robbing stores regardless of what time of day it is or who's inside.
"It's been going on in Moultrie pretty frequently so you kind of knew it would happen, but you didn't want it to happen," said Perry.
For Darian Perry's co-worker Devin Howard, this frightening scene wasn't his first rodeo. Surveillance video from 1:00 Saturday morning shows Howard calmly press the panic button as he watches the three men run in.
"I'm just aware. And it is what it is. The only thing you can do is put it in God's hands and let it go."
Howard says two men rushed to the cashier, guns pointed at his face, while another one served as a lookout at the door. "He just opened the register and backed away from it and held his hands up. He gave them all the money that they wanted and they just left," said Perry.
Perry says there were multiple customers inside at the time, including one customer whose reaction stood out to him.
"She was pushed out of the way. She just backed up and she was looking at merchandise like she was just continuing to shop. I don't know. The way Moultrie is going lately, I don't think it's shocking too many people anymore."
Howard says he's packing heat now, prepared if, or when, this happens again.
If you have any information about those three men or about this crime, call Moultrie Police.
