Woman wanted in Albany arrested in Lowndes Co.

VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office says that Ashley Chafin, who was wanted in Albany for a string of storage building burglaries, has been arrested. On Monday afternoon Ashley Chafin, 26,  was located at a Oak Drive South address, along with Daniel Smith, 27.

Deputies searched the residence, and found Methamphetamine, Oxycodone, Methadone and Suboxone, and several items believed to have been stolen.

Chafin and Smith were arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail. Both will appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court this afternoon for an arraignment hearing.

"We will keep working with the other neighboring law enforcement agencies and hopefully return someone's property that was previously stolen," said Sheriff Chris Prine.
