ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany man is sentenced to 15 years in prison for the armed robbery of two Albany businesses.

57 year old Milton Watts plead guilty to two counts of armed robbery Monday, and was given a 25 year total sentence, the first 15 to serve in prison.

Watts plead guilty to robbing Doyal's Party Supply on West Oglethorpe in June 2014, and then an hour later the D&D Food Mart on North Jefferson Street.

Prosecutors say Watts was armed with a rifle, and fired a shot into the ceiling in both businesses during the robbery.  No one was injured.

Prosecutors say Watts will not eligible for parole before he serves his 15 years behind bars.
