LEESBURG, GA (WALB) -

A wreck on US 19 North, just outside Leesburg, brought out first responders about 11:00AM Tuesday.

A blue SUV ran off the side of the road, and into the trees.  The windshield was smashed.

James Miller, 29, was driving a 1998 Ford Expedition and driving North on U.S. 19, when he lost control near Cannon Drive, and then hit the Leesburg City Limit sign.

He spun out, went through the ditch, bounced, went airborne, hit a tree, flew about ten feet, and landed in a ditch.

He went to Phoebe Putney with head and neck injuries.

Authorities say Miller is being charged with failure to maintain lane.  The GSP says he blacked out for a minute when he crashed.
