Suspect identified in Decatur Co. homicide

DECATUR CO., GA (WALB) -

Decatur County Sheriff's Office investigators and GBI officials have made an arrest in a homicide investigation.

Investigator Jason Williams confirmed Demarquis Glenn, 24, of Decatur County, was arrested in relation to the murder of Quentieria Knight, 22.

Glenn is charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. He was booked into the Decatur County jail.  

Witnesses told investigators that Glenn was the last person seen with Knight on Thursday. 

Glenn and Knight were coworkers at Elberta Crate and Box in Bainbridge.

Friday morning, deputies found Knight's body in a running car, parked halfway in the road, on Zorn Road.

Decatur County Sheriff Wiley Griffin said Knight had been shot multiple times.  

The Thomasville GBI office and the Decatur county Sheriff's Office are investigating.

Knight's body was sent to the crime lab.
