ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The GISA state track meet finished this weekend in Albany.
Westwood senior Collier Baggett had a solid outing in his last ever track meet.
After picking up third place in both the Long jump and triple jump, the multiple-sport athlete finished as the state runner-up in the 300 meter hurdles.
Last year he placed third in the event. He said his goal was to win it this year, but losing only fuels his drive.
"I've done a lot of things," said Baggett reflecting on his career at Westwood. "I have lost, but the big thing is when you lose just come back and want it more. Last year I won long jump and triple jump, came back this year and fell a little short again. But keep driving is my memo."
Baggett is signed to play college baseball at Augusta next year.
He says he's hanging up the track cleats for good.
