Josie Nix is the center back for the Lady Trojans. Her season isn't over, but her recruitment process came to a halt this week.
Nix signed her letter of intent to attend Georgia Southwestern in the Lee county cafeteria.
The senior center back made her announcement fresh off a round 1 playoff win at home. She said her family has been able to attend every single on of her home games, and many of the contests on the road.
She will be going to college just 20 minutes up the road in Americus, and is excited her support group won't be far away.
Nix was sold on the Lady Canes program because of her relationship with head coach Samantha Snow.
"I really like their coach. I've met with her, I've talk with her a bunch," said Nix. "She's really great, she's always there to talk to ans to support you and I'm really big on support. And I've met most of the teammates and I've liked all of them. It's just a great program for all of them."
Nix will try and help turn things around for the Lady Hurricanes. Georgia Southwestern went 2-14 this past season out in Americus.
