The Dougherty Grand Jury indicts an Albany man accused of firing shots at Albany Police and setting fire to a motel.
Mack Hall is charged with four counts of aggravated assault, two counts of arson, obstruction, and drug charges.
Prosecutors say Hall fired shots out the window of the Country Hearth Motel on Pointe North Boulevard on March 28th, then set fire to his room, forcing the motel to be evacuated.
Police finally captured Hall without serious injury. "Great deference should be given to the fact that our police officers did not kill him. Instead of shooting him he was in fact tased," said D. A. Greg Edwards.
Hall was also indicted for biting one of the police officers, and damaging his cruiser.
Hall is still being held in the Dougherty County jail.
