ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The burglar was caught on surveillance video, and that helped police track down the suspect.
Albany Police spotted the man at the bus stop right across the road from one of the restaurants targeted.

28 year old Octavius Bell Jr. has been charged with burglarizing the Harvest Moon.
The owner said Bell had one of his restaurant's spoons and a screwdriver you will see in the video in his pocket .

Take a look at the surveillance video, on the side of the Harvest Moon. Just after 4 this morning...it caught a man trying to loosen this air conditioner.  Finally he shoved it out of the window with his shoulder and then jumped inside.
Harvest Moon owner Bo Henry said "I think it's just terrible that somebody out there working so hard to do something like that, when all he's got to do is work a little harder to go get him a job."

Earlier last night someone broke into Applebees, about a half mile away, cut a hole in the office window, and stole cash from the juke box and cash drawer.
Someone also broke into the Wildflower Cafe. The crook pried the back door open. Then he took money from the safe and cash register. The crook took the surveillance camera equipment, then threw it under a shed by the back door.

At the Harvest Moon, the burglar seen wearing a red shirt  with another  shirt tied over his face, uses a screw driver to try to pry open the office door, but is unsuccessful.
He's searching behind the bar when the alarm goes off.  Cops looked at this surveillance video, and then spotted a man in the same clothes at the bus stop across from the Wildflower Cafe.
Henry said "The police were out working hard and caught the guy, thank goodness. Kudos to them for doing a good job."

Now Henry urges Judges to work just as hard fighting crime, and put habitual burglars long prison sentences.
Henry said "But yes, eventually they have to start keeping them longer. And keeping them out of the way of people trying to do business."

Henry said police told him they found that screwdriver, $300 in cash, and a spoon from his restaurant in Bell's pocket.

Bell is charged with the Harvest Moon burglary.
The other burglaries are still under investigation.
