AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -

We now know an Americus woman who is charged with murdering her ex-boyfriend, was free on bond at the time he was stabbed. She was already accused of beating him with a squeegee at a gas station.

Kierra Warren bonded out in February on simple battery and aggravated stalking charges.   She's now accused of stabbing Brandon Douglas to death over the weekend.

It's the third domestic homicide in Americus this year.

Lashondia Terry faces the same charges for a Valentine's Day fight.

Lafonzo Childs is charged with killing his wife and injuring her friend in January.

"So domestic violence is a common thread within our community and as I said it happens far too often, and we all know that it occurs," said Major Herman Lamar of the Americus Police Department.

Police want to teach citizens about the signs of domestic violence. They hope people report violence before it turns deadly.
