Bainbridge Police were called to check out what was thought to be half a dozen cars that had been broken into at Precision Auto on East River Road early Monday morning.
Detectives soon discovered that three times that number had been vandalized. Two of the cars had been started up and driven around.
A Toyota 4-Runner had been broken into, and its dash was destroyed by someone trying to steal the touch screen radio display.
The culprit took a Honda Civic, and attempted to crash the car through the gate, which caused substantial damage to both.
Investigators followed leads to Vada Road. They examined a sandy area for shoe prints, which eventually led them to Dontavious Kinder, who is 18.
Kinder was arrested and charged with 18 counts of entering automobile motor vehicles with intent to commit theft, and three counts of criminal damage to property.
Detectives also arrested three minors, who will be tried in juvenile court on the same charges.
