ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The fight for a Dougherty County man to keep his name on a state house race ballot continues.

A hearing for District 151 candidate James Williams took place last week.
His attorney must now submit a briefing by May 10th.
They claim the secretary of state's office called the Dougherty County elections board to have Williams' district changed from 151 to 154 without notifying him.
The state says a redistricting error by Dougherty County officials placed Williams in the wrong district for years and it wasn't discovered until Williams’ opponent, Representative Gerald Greene, filed a challenge.
