Monroe track and field has been dominant all season, and one sprinter just enjoyed the fruits of her labor.
Kandice Clyde signed her letter of intent to attend Paine college today.
The Monroe senior was joined by family and friends in the cafeteria for her announcement.
Paine College finished 4th in the SIAC this past season.
The sprinter says she kept a good relationship with the coach...and was thankful for the offer. And she had a mature reason for wanting to pack her bags for Augusta.
"I picked Paine because it's small and I don't need to be at a big school and everybody's just distracting me," said Clyde. "So I picked Paine. and they have a great athletic program."
She still has a season to finish out. The region 4-AAAA champs have sectionals in Carrollton this Saturday.
