TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

The Elene Dorminy Women’s Pavilion and Birthing Center at Tift Regional Medical Center will host a maternity fair on Saturday, April 30, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Tift Regional Events Center.

Event organizers say there’s a lot of excitement when expecting a new baby, but there’s a lot of anxiety as well.

So, Saturday’s event will focus on educating future parents on the services offered to help them.

Four speakers will present information at the expo discussing topics like sleep for infants and the benefits of breastfeeding.

“Things have changed over the years in maternal medicine. So, it’s a very exciting time to learn some of the new things that are going on, not only here at Tift Regional but in our community,” OB Educator Ronda Phillips says.

Giveaways and prizes will also be handed out at the maternity fair.

It is free and open to the public.
