AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -
The most recent of three fatal domestic violence stabbings in Americus happened over the weekend.
The suspect, Kierra Warren, made her first court appearance this afternoon on an aggravated assault charge.
Police said that she stabbed Brandon Douglas during a fight Saturday morning.
Douglas died late Monday afternoon, just 30-minutes after Warren faced a judge who alluded to his condition at the time when denying Warren bond.
"At this time I'm denying your bond. A superior court judge will have to set your bond. I'm denying it because of it being under further investigation," said Sumter County Magistrate Court Judge Judy Tanner.
Charges against Warren are expected to be upgraded to murder.
If that happens, she'll have to make another first appearance on that charge.
