TIFT CO., GA (WALB) - Voters in Tifton got a chance to hear directly from political candidates asking for their votes.
A forum was held for candidates running for local offices including Sheriff, School Board, and Clerk of Superior Court.
County leaders say this gives voters a great opportunity to educate themselves on the candidates.
"There's a great opportunity for the community to see the candidate, who they'll be voting for in this next election," said Donnie Hester, County Commissioner.
Primary election day is May 24th.
