ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany State is gearing up for the SIAC tournament trip, and the Lady Rams are no strangers to the road.

Thanks to front-loaded scheduling. The Lady Rams have played 33 of their last 34 games away from Albany.

The Golden Rams have played well as of late on the road. Their last series with Paine College ended in three victories with double-digit margins in runs.

The Lady Rams take on Stillman College in the first round of the SIAC tournament.

And coach Robert Skinner is hoping for the same results as the first time the two teams faced off...that was in the crossover tournament where the Golden Rams won decisively.

In order to do so again he's looking for some run support.

"We know going into the tournament that we got to be a better offensive-minded team and be more consistent," said coach Skinner. "More discipline on defense. So it's just a matter of playing it one game at a time...starting on Thursday."

The Lady rams leave for Hampton, Georgia on Wednesday.

It's a double-elimination tournament, and Coach Skinner hopes they won't be coming back until after the championship game on Saturday.
