Man arrested after Tift Co. vehicle chase

LOWNDES CO., GA (WALB) -

A wanted felon is in the Lowndes County jail right now after a dangerous high speed chase on I-75.

A Tift Co. deputy clocked Denzil James from Stone Mountain going 93 miles per hour about 6 p.m. on Friday.

James pulled over, then sped off into Cook and Lowndes Co.

A trooper performed a PIT maneuver around exit 23 in Lowndes Co.

James was caught after a brief foot chase.

Troopers say James had several outstanding warrants and is charged with felony fleeing and multiple traffic offenses.
