SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -
One stop down Thursday night and five more to go on WALB's 2016 "Going Mobile Community Tour."
WALB broadcast the 6 p.m. news live from Sylvester.
Our visit coincided with Thursday's Chamber of Commerce business showcase held next to the city's newly-renovated historic train depot.
The Mayor said the tour helps showcase what Sylvester has to offer.
"The original building was built in 1895 and we restored it to be original as possible with modern conveniences and codes so we're excited about the possibilities of that and enhancing our downtown. It's just gone be great for our community," said Sylvester Mayor Bill Yearta.
WALB's next "Going Mobile Community Tour" stop will be in Moultrie next Thursday.
