VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

Friday evening, Lowndes Co. deputies noticed a Ford Taurus with excessively dark window tint, traveling south on the interstate.

As the deputy stopped the car, he saw something get tossed out the window. It was a package containing 25 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

Justin Cameron, a passenger in the car, threw the package. He was placed under arrest and taken to Jail.

He will appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court Monday afternoon for an arraignment hearing. The recovered drugs have an estimated street value of $2,500.

Sheriff Chris Prine said,  "These deputies do a great job working to hinder the flow of drugs through our county. Although this dope was most likely headed elsewhere, it makes a dent and helps everyone."

Anyone with information about this incident or any other can contact the Sheriff’s Office at 229 671-2950; or anonymous tips can be provided at 229 671-2985 or on-line at www.lowndessheriff.com.

Justin Alan Cameron, 29, who lives in Lake Butler, Florida, is charged with Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, Tampering with evidence, and Littering.
