AMERICUS, GA (WALB) -

Coffee was being poured for more than just consumption Sunday night.  An Americus coffee shop hosted an espresso and latte competition.

This barista throw down at Cafe Campesino brought out dozens of baristas and coffee aficionados from around the world looking to show off their skills.

“It's a lot of fun having all these guys. These are people from all over the world. There are coffee growers here, there are coffee importers here, coffee roasters here,” said Café Campesino CEO Bill Harris.

Harris said they host events like this so that the hard working coffee farmers get to know each other and form long term partnerships.
