LEE CO., GA (WALB) -

The Lee County Sheriff's Office says that a man who had been reported as a missing person has been found, dead.

55 year old Lee County resident, Charles Wendell Rose also known as "Wendy",  had been the subject of a search.

His body was found Thursday along the Kinchafoonee Creek, near Creekside Drive.

"We believe the subject went missing a few days ago and we were out here all day long with no luck being able to locate this person,"said Lee Co. Sheriff Reggie Rachals. "And the DNR units have been riding up and down the creek every day since we took off the main search and they have been patrolling the water to see if they could come up with anything, and today they came up with something."

The Sheriff does not suspect there was any foul play involved, but the case is still under investigation.

If you have any information on this case, please notify the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at (229) 759-6012.
